Question 1 of 5

What is your ZIP code?

Agent availability and pricing vary by state.

Question 2 of 5

How old are you?

Age is the single biggest factor in what coverage costs.

Question 3 of 5

How much coverage are you looking for?

Not sure? Pick the closest — the agent will walk you through it.

Question 4 of 5

Have you used tobacco in the last 12 months?

This affects your rate. An honest answer gets you an accurate quote.

Last step

Where should the agent reach you?

Thank you. Your request has been received.

A licensed agent will reach out shortly using the contact details you provided.

AmericaLifeInsurance.com is a free comparison service, not an insurance company. We are not an insurer, agency or broker, and we are not affiliated with any carrier — including any company with a similar name.

Build your quote

Three steps, and you are never obligated to buy anything.

1

Answer four questions

Your ZIP code, age range, intended coverage amount and tobacco use — the information a licensed agent needs to identify which carriers to review.

2

Match with an agent

Your request goes to an independent agent licensed in your state. We do not sell policies ourselves.

3

Compare and decide

The agent sets out the available options and their cost. There is no charge for the consultation and no obligation to proceed.

The three kinds of coverage

The three products a licensed agent is most likely to discuss with you.

Term life

Income replacement

Covers you for a set number of years, usually 10, 20 or 30. It is the cheapest way to buy a large amount of coverage, and it pays out only if you die during the term. Common for parents with a mortgage and young children.

Whole life

Lifelong coverage

Covers you for life and builds a cash value you can borrow against. Premiums are considerably higher than term for the same death benefit, and they do not increase as you age.

Final expense

Funeral and burial costs

A small whole life policy, typically $5,000 to $25,000, meant to cover a funeral and any last bills. Approval is usually based on a few health questions rather than a medical exam, which is why it is common after 55.

Frequently asked questions

Is this service free?

Yes. There is no charge to use this site or to speak with a licensed agent. We receive a referral fee from the agencies to which requests are forwarded. This fee has no effect on the premium you are quoted.

What happens to my information?

We share the details you submit — your name, phone number, email, ZIP code, age range, coverage range and tobacco answer — with the licensed insurance agency named in the consent text on the form, so they can contact you about coverage. We do not ask for and never collect Social Security numbers, bank details or payment information. Our Privacy Policy sets out your rights, including how to ask us to delete your information.

Will someone call me?

Yes. By checking the consent box you authorise a licensed agent to contact you by telephone, text message or email at the details you provided. You may withdraw that consent at any time, and the agent is required to honour the request.

Do I need a medical exam?

No medical exam is required to obtain a quote. Whether a policy itself requires one depends on the product and the coverage amount: many final expense policies rely on health questions rather than an examination, while larger term policies frequently require one. The agent will confirm which applies before any application is submitted.

Are you an insurance company?

No. AmericaLifeInsurance is an independent referral service. We are not an insurer, not an insurance agency, not licensed to transact insurance in any state, and not affiliated with any carrier, including any insurance company whose name resembles this website's. We do not quote rates, approve coverage or provide insurance advice; those are the responsibility of the licensed agent to whom your request is forwarded.

Why do you ask about tobacco?

Tobacco use is among the factors with the greatest effect on a life insurance premium, in many cases doubling it. Providing an accurate answer at the outset allows the agent to give a quote that reflects what underwriting is likely to return.
