What we do
AmericaLifeInsurance is an independent referral service. You submit a short request describing the coverage you are looking for, and we forward that request to a licensed insurance agency able to quote it. We are not an insurance company and we do not sell policies.
The request form asks four questions — your ZIP code, your age range, the coverage amount you have in mind and whether you use tobacco — followed by the contact details an agent needs in order to reach you. A licensed agent then contacts you to review the options available in your state. The service is free to use, and submitting a request creates no obligation to purchase anything.
How it works
- You submit a request. Four questions plus the name, phone number and email address at which an agent may contact you.
- The request is forwarded to a licensed agency. The agency identified in the consent language on the form receives the fields you submitted, and no other information.
- A licensed agent contacts you. They review the products available in your state and, if you choose to proceed, handle the application. All coverage decisions, rates and terms are determined by the insurance carrier and the licensed agent.
What we are not
- Not an insurance company. We do not underwrite policies, set rates, approve applications or pay claims.
- Not an insurance agency or broker. We are not licensed to transact insurance in any state and we do not give insurance advice or recommend specific products.
- Not affiliated with any carrier. We are not connected to, endorsed by or acting on behalf of any insurance company, including any company whose name resembles this website’s.
- Not a rate comparison engine. This site does not display live rates. The rate tables we publish are industry averages from named third-party sources, shown with their publication dates. They are not quotes. Rates are provided by a licensed agent after review of your individual circumstances.
How this service is compensated
We receive a referral fee from the licensed agency to which requests are forwarded. Consumers are never charged, and the fee has no effect on the premium quoted. The request form collects only the information a licensed agent requires in order to prepare a quote; it does not ask for Social Security numbers, bank details or payment card information.
Because a referral fee is involved, sharing your details may count as a “sale” or “share” of personal information under California law. Your rights, and how to opt out, are set out in our Privacy Policy.
Where we operate
This site is intended for residents of the United States who are at least 18 years of age. Product availability and agent licensing vary by state, and not every product described on this site is available in every state. Where no licensed agent is able to serve your state, the request is not forwarded and you will not be contacted.
Our content
The guides on this site are written to be read before you speak to anyone selling you a policy. Every premium figure we publish is an industry average from a named third-party source, shown with that source’s publication date, and labelled with what it measures — because published averages differ by as much as double depending on methodology. We do not publish rate figures we cannot source, and where a figure does not exist in a published source we say so rather than estimating. Our editorial standards set this out in full.
